Preparing for Transition

September was an encouraging and edifying month. We were ministered to at each church we visited. We visited: The Refuge Baptist Church Plainfield, IN - Pastors Jonathan Woodring and Cody Right. Madison Ave Missionary Baptist Church Kentwood, MI - Pastor Nate Lowe. Hyde Park Baptist Church West Monroe, LA - Pastor Trey Emory. September looks slower but God did as much this month as he’s been doing all along. We started out with The Refuge Baptist in Plainfield. We participated in their   Share your Story   series where we were interviewed about what brought us to a point of realizing that God was leading us to Utah. It was a wonderful time to share with them, we are thankful for the Woodring family for their support throughout our Marriage and my ministry. We went the following week to Kentwood, MI, and had a wonderful time there with Bro. Nate Lowe and his church. The week prior to this visit my wife Lourdes had a death in her family. JESUS was calling, and he just said YES!

After a lot of prayer and years of discernment our dear friend Joel Cosme announced his call for the ministry the last August. “ And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.” 1 Samuel 3:10 Our family has known Bro. Joel for more than a decade, Lourdes got to know him at church when both of them where in college.    In her late teens, they went to the same college, she studied Corporate Communications and he studied Systems Engineering. I got to meet him and his now wife in my first trip to Peru in August of 2015, since that trip he has shared with me about his time in Utah, and how this state had a special place in his life. This just makes us think how special the month of August is becoming in our lives.
