I‘ll Fly Away (In An Airplane)

Image
In April we spent more time away than we did at the Mission Home here in Arkansas, God blessed our travels and gave us many good visits. I’m thankful for these visits as well as new relationships and friendships being made. In April we visited the following churches and meetings. California State Association @    First MBC of Bellflower, CA. First Landmark MBC,    Lancaster, CA - Pastor Anthony Parker. Wells First Baptist Church Wells, TX - Pastor Wesley Matchett. The Shepard’s Gathering @ Calvary Baptist Church Henderson, TX. Ebenezer Baptist Youth Group Henderson, TX. Butterfield MBC Magnet Cove, AR - Pastor Bobby Goodnight. Unity MBC Sunnyvale, CA - Pastor Matthew Wise (Virtual). Temple Baptist Church Hot Springs, AR - Pastor Todd Houck. I‘ll Fly Away (In An Airplane) About a month ago I was doing dishes and singing “I’ll Fly Away” when my 2 ½ year old daughter jumped in with “in the morning”, this was an exciting first for me and a proud moment, a week or so late...

In God’s Terms

God continues to remind us that he is in control, I’m thankful that he has plans that are greater than ours. In March we visited: Rocky Bayou Association Mission Rally. Hickory Grove MBC Newport, AR - Pastor David Burgess. Mission Youth Rally @ Greggton MBC Longview, TX. (Virtual) Youth Mission Rally @ Bethel MBC Leavenworth, Kansas. Harvest Oaks Church Allen, TX - Pastor Jay Gibson. Lifeline Baptist Church Venus, TX - Pastor David Smith. Ebenezer Baptist Church Henderson, TX - Steven Haney. Glen Rose MBC Malvern, AR - Pastor Dillon Miller. Stockwell Road BC Bossier City, LA - Pastor Nathan Luellen. While I cannot be two places at one time I am thankful for technology allowing me to participate in two Youth Mission Rally’s on the same day at the same time over 500 miles apart. While sitting at the Rally in Texas I got two separate texts from brethren in Kansas watching our video. What a blessing! Not only that we were invited to participate in both but also that there is such an emphas...

A New Year! We pray that you, your families, and your churches are off to a great start to this new year. God was so gracious to us throughout 2025, and we are excited to see what He will do in 2026. We thank each of you for your interest, support, and prayers over the last year—we would not be where we are without God’s people behind us.                                           During the month of January we had no deputation visits, but we were certainly just as busy. We started the year in Peru. On the first Sunday of the year, I had the opportunity to preach at Iglesia Bautista Gethsémani in Trujillo, Peru. This is my wife’s home church and the church where Bro. Joel is currently serving with his family. This church was started by Bro. Percy Hernandez, another missionary sponsored by Landmark. We are thankful for his labor for the Lord in Peru and the fruit that it has pr...

Gifts of Hospitality and Generosity

December looked different for our family. Early in the month, Lourdes and our daughter Emilia flew to Peru to begin the holiday season there with family. I continued deputation on my own for three weeks, then joined them in Peru on Christmas Eve and enjoyed the rest of the year there with them. In December, I visited: • South East Michigan Ladies Auxiliary at International MBC in Warren, MI • Bethel MBC in Sterling Heights, MI – Pastor Rick Vinson • Friendship MBC in Flint, MI – Pastor T.J. Blankenship • First MBC in Caloma, MI – Pastor Flynn Kettell • Bradleys Pleasure MBC in Nancy, KY – Pastor Rick Stumpp Each of these churches and groups was encouraging to visit, and they were excited to hear about our plans for church planting in Utah. While visiting Friendship, Bro. T.J. and his wife Leah invited me to their home so that he could make me a latte on his espresso machine after finding out that I had been a barista. While enjoying that cup of coffee, I shared with them a reflection I...
