Mother’s Day

We had the opportunity to spend Mother’s Day with Alvin MBC, it was a wonderful time, and I was thankful to share a message from 2 Timothy 1:5. I am very thankful for the opportunity to Celebrate Lourdes, she has worked so hard to keep Emilia’s and my lives as normal and consistent as possible over the last year and a half of deputation travel. After church  we were invited to join Bro. Hugh Roth and his wife Allison on a beach picnic. We are thankful for their encouragement and hospitality.

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in the grandmothers Louis, and thy mother Eunice and I am persuaded that in thee also.” 2 Timothy 1:5

Graduation

As I mentioned in our March Report, we completed all four modules of MTM (Missionary Training Ministry) and pending completing the required readings we would be graduating with an Associates in Missions from the Missionary Baptist Seminary in May. Good News! We finished! We are thankful for this experience and were glad to celebrate together. This was certainly a family effort as Lourdes and I both went through the training together and each read all of the books. We are thankful for our daughter’s patience and flexibility with us as we finished these books. Bro. Chase Reynolds the MTM Director and his wife Kelly were there to celebrate with us and Bro. Chase presented our Diplomas to us. We were also thankful to have my parents, my great-aunt and my former pastor Kenny Roberson and his wife Amy there to support us at graduation.

Recruiting?!

While presenting at Gethsemane MBC in El Dorado where I have some family and many friends I opened up for questions and 12 year old Finley Patterson raised his hand with the question,“Can I Go with You?” My answer, “Absolutely!” I thank God for childlike faith that leads to eagerness.  Whether him or others pray with me that the Lord of the Harvest would call more laborers unto his harvest. Through deputation I have reminded people of these three ways to support us 1. Pray, 2. Go 3. Give. Many have prayed and given to get us to this point and I am very thankful for that. As we prepare to move this summer we still will need both, but we also look forward to visits from those that are praying for and supporting us. Please pray about visiting us and seeing the place God has called us too.

New Online Giving

Many recently have asked if we have a way to give online, up to this point we have not. I am glad to share that we now have online giving set up, you can scan the QR Code below and it will take you to our giving page where you can give a number of ways, and set up recurring gifts if you’d like.
