May we always seek the LORD!

May was a month full of blessings for the mission and for our family. We spent the majority of the month of May close to home. Visiting some nearby churches in Indiana as a family and celebrating Mother’s day with my home church. I did make one solo trip out of state to visit one of our supporting churches Quaker Avenue Baptist Church in Lubbock,    Texas and to attend the pre association meeting of the American Baptist Association in Texarkana for consideration as a newly recommended interstate missionary on designated funds. What an encouragement that trip was all around.    I learned of Quaker Avenue’s history of supporting missions in Utah and was encouraged by their dedication to give to missions in general. At the pre association meeting there were many who shared excitement for what God has called us to.    It was also good to spend time in Texarkana with my Pastor Bro. Chris Tucker who met me there for the meeting, and we are thankful for Bro. Jon L...

Showers of Blessings

April has been a calmer month, after two and a half months    traveling to various churches, Easter Sunday brought a natural pause for us to spend with our sending church.    What a blessing that was. The following Saturday our church hosted the Indiana State Associational meeting so we stayed put for that weekend as well giving us two weeks in a row to worship with our sending church.    For this we are thankful. This sweet fellowship of time with our church and the great churches and pastors of Indiana is sweeter now than it’s ever been. As I reflect on the changes to come in the next couple of years as we continue to make progress toward moving to and ministering in Utah, I’m very thankful for those who have and continue to pour into me here in Indiana and in my church. This type of fellowship will become less common but my prayer is that the foundation and example given to me will give me what I need to succeed and sustain me through times of little fel...

In January, my family and I began traveling to churches in Indiana to share the burden that God has placed on our hearts. We got to start by visiting First Landmark MBC in Kokomo, IN where I had previously pastored. It was good fellowship and a sweet spirit to be back with them. In February, we visited New Life MBC in Brownstown, IN, Landmark Baptist Church in Anderson, IN, and Columbus Baptist Church in Columbus, IN. What a blessing it has been. All of these churches have been very encouraging and supportive to us. It has been such a blessing and encouragement to see the response of God’s people since announcing last month what God has Laid on our hearts. Thank you to those that have reached out and are praying! “I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to  harvest.” John 4:35b   HOW TO HOLD THE ROPE? We need your prayers for now and for the future. Last Month I asked for prayer in three specific areas  Traveling mercies, Fina...

A little over a year ago God sparked an interest in my heart for the state of Utah, after seeing some statistics revealing their great need of the Gospel and Local New Testament Churches. In May of 2024, my family and I took a trip out to Utah to see in person the areas we had researched and prayed about. During that time we were able to meet locals and learn more about the people and the culture, we also had opportunities to share our faith. While there we also met with and worshiped with pastors of some local  English and Spanish-speaking Baptist churches to learn more about the area and the need. It was an encouragement, and we went home with much more to pray about. After much prayer and council, my wife and I have determined that we feel God is leading our family to plant a church in the State of Utah. My home church affirmed our calling and has decided to send us as their missionaries, together with them we’d ask that you consider coming along-side us in prayer and support. S...
