Marching forward

March, was a very busy month for the Teague Family with many blessings along the way. During the month of March we traveled almost 4400 miles, through 9 different states. We had opportunities to share the burden God has put on our hearts with 8 different churches in 5 different states as well as attend 6 days of coaching and training at Sublett Road Baptist Church in Arlington, TX through the Missionary Training Ministry (MTM) a ministry of Flatwoods Baptist Church in Mountain View, AR we are thankful for both these churches and many others for their investments in missions, and missionaries. We’d like to say a special thanks to all of the churches we visited during the month of March for letting us share our burden and encouraging us.

As I typed out these names and reflected on all the things God did throughout the month of March with each of these churches I’m very encouraged. God used them to be an encouragement to us and I pray we were to them as well. I could write a whole report on each church we visited and how God blessed and continued to show his hand in things. While there have many blessings it has also been exhausting as I am still working, we appreciate your prayers. Emilia has been a trooper and it’s been such a joy seeing her interact with people everywhere we go, and trying to sing along with everyone else. She has even started helping with deputation by passing out our trifolds to people at the churches we visit unprompted (she’s not even 2 yet). My wife Lourdes also had the opportunity to share a devotion on keeping your heart in tune with a group of ladies over lunch when we visited First Baptist Church of Northern Heights in Kansas City, MO. When we returned home from those travels we got to spend time with our sending church as they heard from Bro. Tim Ward with IMD (Interstate Mission Development) who was an encouragement to us.


The month of March has seen growth in our finances. We have had the support of our sending church, but during this month, 4 additional churches have made us aware of a commitment to bless us with monthly support. So we are now thrilled to have 5 churches "holding the rope" for our work. Several other churches gave one time offerings and may eventually join us for monthly support.

Finally we are happy to be able to share about another family that is desiring to join us in this mission. Joel Cosme, his wife Claudia and their daughter Maria Gracia currently live in Peru. Since living in Utah previously, Joel has long had a heart for the people of Utah. Being native Spanish speakers, they would be a great help in reaching the Hispanic population in the mission area. He has a degree in engineering and is currently working in that field. He is hoping to obtain an engineering job in Utah and be bi-vocational in his work with the mission. For our visit in Kansas City, Joel recorded a message in Spanish for the Iglesia Hispana Esperanza a mission work of the church we visited. Please pray for them as they navigate the immigration process.

A little over a year ago God sparked an interest in my heart for the state of Utah, after seeing some statistics revealing their great need of the Gospel and Local New Testament Churches. In May of 2024, my family and I took a trip out to Utah to see in person the areas we had researched and prayed about. During that time we were able to meet locals and learn more about the people and the culture, we also had opportunities to share our faith. While there we also met with and worshiped with pastors of some local  English and Spanish-speaking Baptist churches to learn more about the area and the need. It was an encouragement, and we went home with much more to pray about. After much prayer and council, my wife and I have determined that we feel God is leading our family to plant a church in the State of Utah. Showers of Blessings

April has been a calmer month, after two and a half months    traveling to various churches, Easter Sunday brought a natural pause for us to spend with our sending church.    What a blessing that was. The following Saturday our church hosted the Indiana State Associational meeting so we stayed put for that weekend as well giving us two weeks in a row to worship with our sending church.    For this we are thankful. This sweet fellowship of time with our church and the great churches and pastors of Indiana is sweeter now than it’s ever been. As I reflect on the changes to come in the next couple of years as we continue to make progress toward moving to and ministering in Utah, I’m very thankful for those who have and continue to pour into me here in Indiana and in my church.
